After starting out his professional career in Dorset, playing in the Minor Counties Championship, Richard James Scott went on to lead a long and successful career in the sport, playing for different counties across the nation including Gloucestershire and Hampshire.
During his time as the Director of Cricket for Dorset, he put his coaching hat on to run numerous cricket camps for youngsters during school holidays. In 2007, Richard was appointed by Middlesex as their second XI Coach and was then subsequently promoted to County Coach in 2009, after an impressive spell in charge. Here he led Middlesex to the Second Division Championship in 2011 and the Specsavers County Championship in 2016.
